TAMPA FOUNDATION'S WORK THROUGHOUT THE CITY

Murals
Begin Anywhere

The ‘Begin Anywhere’ mural, located at I-275 and 610 E. North Street, provides inspiration for all those who haven’t yet taken steps toward achieving their dreams. It encourages us to disassociate our dreams from any timeline, and just go for it. It doesn’t matter where or when you start. All that matters is that you start, so ‘Begin Anywhere’ and let your dreams take you from there.

Thank you to Elder Ford of Tampa, Rob Elder, The Jammal Brothers, and The Moore family for their generous contributions and allowing this positive message to be shared with our community.

DREAM BIG

We’ve always seen the blank side of our building as an opportunity to create something meaningful, but we were unsure of what that message would be,” said Tim Moore, CEO of Diamond View. “We knew we couldn’t slap a business sign on it and call it a day because that’s just not who we are.”

Moore said the company’s purpose is to inspire, and the choice of “Dream Big” is a consistent theme internally, a “call to action and a way of life,” he said.

After interviewing many artists, the company chose Leon “Tes One” Bedore for design; he created the huge “Stay Curious” mural on the Glazer Children’s Museum parking garage. Vitale Brothers, a company with a rich 30-year history of public art in Tampa Bay, is doing the painting and installation.

You Are The Future

The ‘You Are The Future’ project at Mort Elementary, located at 1806 E Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33613, spans two walls totaling 120 feet. One wall reads “You Are The Future“ and the other reads “It Seems Impossible Until It’s Done,“ a quote by social rights activist, politician and philanthropist, Nelson Mandela.

This mural was completed by Wax and Hive, a full-service creative agency located in St. Petersburg, Florida.

This mural was graciously funded by several organizations including Publix, Children’s Home Society of Florida, Symphonic Distribution and Diamond View.

Be Kind. Do Good.

Located atop the historic Berriman & Morgan Cigar Factory building on Howard Avenue, the “Be Kind. Do Good.“ mural was made possible by PAR, Inc., a leading publisher of psychological assessment materials, to help inspire and uplift the thousands of I-275 commuters who pass by each day. The mural was designed by Tes One and installed by Tampa Murals.
